The Montana Venue
Elizabeth and Jared’s wedding at The 45 Barn in Garrison, Montana, was an absolutely stunning day filled with heartfelt moments, beautiful details, and an atmosphere of joy. These two sweethearts brought their families together from across the country to celebrate their love, and it was a day that perfectly reflected their thoughtfulness and deep connection.
Getting Ready
The morning began in the most intimate and special way—Elizabeth got ready at her grandmother’s house, surrounded by her family. The time spent together was filled with laughter and meaningful conversations, making it a morning she’ll always cherish. The makeup and hair artists did an incredible job, and everything felt relaxed and natural, allowing us to capture so many candid moments. Elizabeth’s Maid of Honor was right by her side supporting her. And I loved hearing Elizabeth walk me through the thoughtful details she had planned out—from her nails, earrings, and hairpieces that all matched the delicate leaf design on her wedding dress.

One of the most touching aspects of the day was Elizabeth’s jewelry. She was gifted a pearl necklace from her mother and wore her grandmother’s pearls as a bracelet. The pearls matched her shoes perfectly, adding even more sentimental value to her bridal look. Every detail was so intentional, and it all came together beautifully.
The Barn
After Elizabeth was ready, we headed to The 45 Barn, where Jared was getting ready upstairs. The lighting in the barn was nothing short of breathtaking. The contrast between the bright light pouring through the open barn door and the dark interior created the perfect setting for stunning getting-ready photos. The unique lighting, along with the rustic barn setting, gave the photos a dramatic, cinematic feel.
Elizabeth used a gorgeous mirror in the barn for her final touch-ups, and the soft lighting added a magical glow to her getting-ready photos. Every moment felt like it was straight out of a fairytale!
The Ceremony
The ceremony was equally stunning. The smoky light filtering through the space added an ethereal quality, making the couple stand out even more. I love working with natural light, and the way it highlighted the couple’s candid moments was something special. One of my favorite shots was of Jared shaking Elizabeth’s father’s hand, right before he took her hand in marriage. It was such a powerful moment, symbolizing the passing of a daughter into a new life. It’s moments like these that truly tell the story of a wedding day.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the venue’s beautiful scenery for couple photos. The 45 Barn offered so many gorgeous spots that helped capture their love in the most natural and scenic way.

Then came the reception—an unforgettable celebration! From popping champagne during the speeches to enjoying local caramels from Bequet Confections in Bozeman, Montana, every part of the reception was filled with joy. I especially loved the personal touch of the engagement photos we took up at Hyalite, which adorned each table.

The night wrapped up with cake, dancing, and a group photo on the beautiful stairs at the venue. To top it all off, the couple had a bubble send-off that was absolutely magical, creating the perfect end to their perfect day.
