Paradise outside of Helena
There are few things more magical than witnessing the love between two people amidst the breathtaking beauty of nature. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Josh's engagement session in a stunning forest service spot just outside of Helena, Montana. Originally, we planned the session a week earlier, but a surprise snowfall forced us to reschedule. Little did we know, this delay would be a blessing in disguise.
When we finally met up, the forest had transformed into a vibrant paradise. The green grass was lush and inviting, the trees stood tall and majestic, and the tiny delphiniums were in full bloom, adding splashes of color to the scenery. It was as if nature itself was celebrating Lauren and Josh's love story.
From the moment we started, it was clear that these two share something incredibly special. Their chemistry was palpable, and their joy was infectious. They spent the session dancing around, laughing with each other, and stealing sweet kisses. It was easy to see why—they originally met in a social dance class at Montana State University (MSU), and their love for dancing together is still very much alive. Their movements were fluid and natural, making every shot a beautiful capture of their love and happiness.
Rustic Beauty and their Love
The location was nothing short of perfect. A rustic wood fence added a touch of charm, while the aspen trees provided a serene backdrop. As the session went on, the golden sunset began to peek through the clouds, casting a warm, ethereal glow over everything. The combination of the natural light and the blossoming spring scenery created an almost dreamlike atmosphere, making every moment feel magical.
Spring sessions in Montana are always a delight. The season brings a renewal of life and color that is simply unparalleled. For Lauren and Josh, it provided the perfect setting to celebrate their engagement. Their love story, intertwined with the beauty of Montana’s landscape, made for an unforgettable experience and a stunning collection of photographs.
